Hiding in Plain Sight

Many of our local forests have bodies of water that provide tasty food for our heron population. This heron is cleverly 'hiding' in the forest searching for the next meal. He's surrounded by green foliage, making him nearly invisible.

The quilt measures 16.75" wide x 13.5" high.

I aspire to make all of my wall quilts light enough to have the option of being hung with just command strips. This allows you to hang them without damaging walls, and easily moving them around.

All batik fabric was used to create this quilt. Cotton batting is used inside. Clear polyester thread was used in quilting to provide texture. The tree is composed of many small 'confetti' pieces of batik, giving it a shimmery effect.
